queensland Pine River

i just drove over the pine river bridge today on the highways and was amazed to see the river the colour of iced coffee and more trees in the middle of the river then growing beside it.

just a quick post to let anyone thinking of fishing the pine river this weekend what the water quality was like

I went down to deep water bend today thinking it would be ok, the water was brown, full of fast flowing crap and at the top of the ramp, almost flowing into the carpark. I didnt even bother getting the boat off the trailer.

I know they are releasing water from North Pine, does this flow into the pine river?

yes it does...and if you see the other post by Trav you'll see where all those trees came from.

definetly dont go on a low tide, fair chance you would bottom out before reaching the pine river bridge after what i saw the other day.

bridge at lawnton was closed this arvo for some reason, has this been damaged from the flood and closed since or just today?

i couldnt get across it the other day just had to go through youngs instead dunno if its the same resson though.

Yea I think it took a few hits when the water went over mate, Prob just checking it structualy.

yea there checking it all over to see if it still safe to drive on.

after the water went over and the force of the water push on it.

but the water is dirty for just below the dam wall right down to the mouth of the river.

I could not believe my eyes monday night around 6pm on my way home from work I saw a ski boat towing skiers Yep wake boarders, On the pine!

No joke!

All the beacons have been washed away, gunna be a long time before she gets sorted
