matrix 12 takes a 20 degree -10dB 200khz single beam transdeucer

Make sure you get the right one. A while ago I replaced the transducer on a Hummingbird Matrix 27. Cost was about $120 new and since then it is ok to pick up the bottom formations but have lost the fish indicator and temp gauge. Never really trusted the fish indicator anyway and use it mainly to check depth and drop-offs, but you might need good advice before you buy one.
