hi guys does anyone have any sugestions when buying an esky...

looking for about a 40-70 L but have no ideas on brands to look for or anythng in particular, thought id throw it out there an nearly everyone has one!!

What prive range are you looking at?

A friend has one of the techni-ice waeco eskies which held 4kg of pillies a few pizzas mostly frozen for 3 nights with only 3 saltwater milk bottles frozen to begin with. i was moderately impressed with that and its a 40lt i think.

+1 for techni-ice. My brother bought one of those 3 esky deals from them. Pretty good price and seems like a decent product

I have a Techniice esky and so far it has been brilliant.

I just bought another one,a 100 L icebox off ebay for $96 with a few of their new ice packs.

was loooking at anything under 350

some of the evakool ones look like nice products,,

am i suppposed to be looking out for fibreglass as apposed to normal plastic?

i have the blue plastic job, dunno which brand, in 85 lt, also ma 126 lt tropical, a 105 lt tropical and 1 from cold room material, and a 73 michael hillier glass esky, and i recomend you stayin away from the glass 1's.

check that what u buy has double seals

decent latches,

and good insulation.

in my opinion there is a lot of rubbish out there selling at stupid prices.
