On a tip from a mate I tried a location today that I haven't fished in years. I arrived just before first light and started prospecting for spots. I only had a 2 hour time limit so i started casting to some likely snags. It wasn't long before I had managed to hook up and lose 2 nice fish. My third strike was a solid hit that wrapped me around a sunken tree. By now I was getting frustrated. My time was almost up, I did manage to land one small bream before I had to go.

I managed to escape my afternoon commitments and went back for another fish this arvo. This time with another AFOer. We only had 45 mins of daylight. Again more big hits and bust offs!!! My mate managed to land one small Bass. Oh well...that's fishing.

Atomic lures are the go-to lure by all appearances. Like what has been said, any fish is a good fish.....Unless you are fishing with Kreel, in which case, it could well put you in the negatives
