Domestic AirCon Installer, help and advice.

Hello chaps, need a bit of help/advice.

I'm in the market for a split reverse aircon around 6kw. Have my eye on a Panasonic probably from Retravision on an interest free credit.

Need a fridge ticketed chap to help with the install to ensure the warranty.

I've got me sparky ticket so can do that side of things, used to work in commercial 'fridging back in the UK so understand the principles.

High set house, condenser downstairs, approx 5m run to evaporator.

Anyone able to help out? Paid of course! Any tips/advice gratefully received!

kev my mate is an installerit would be around the 200-300 bucks fully installed and all the elec,and he might be able to get the unit a lot cheaper too have you looked at the dakins?there the best.

Gday Kev, I've been an a/c installer/mechanic for 20 years. Go with straddiebrads mate if he can do it for $200 - $300 as that is seriously mates rates. As for brands the Panasonics are the pick for me 2nd choice mitsubishi. The Daikins used to be the "Rolls Royce" air conditioners but in my opinion are highly overated these days. I have done warranty work for panasonic, mitsubishi, daikin, fujitsu and some lesser brands over the years. I would do a handfull of warrantys per year for panasonic and mitsubishi compared to a handful per day for fujitsu!. Dont go near the cheap brands (bad news)

Thanks for all the replies (and the PM). Brad, I will be in touch when I've secured the AC unit, will need to get it on credit at this time.... And at that mates rates price it ain't worth me getting involved! (I will obviously be on hand to help! )
