boat registration

heyy all

need new rego numbers for my boat, when i went for my boat license the guy there said they have to be 200 mm high and so does the recreational boating and fishing guide, but the shops that sell them like motackle are 150 mm high if i bought them would i get pick up on the rego numbers being to small. all help would be great

You will get booked if they are under 200 high. 200 high ones avail at Whitworhts for 95c each.

BCF charge through nose for theirs.

75mm high on both sides or the rear for a displacement hull

200mm high on both sides for a planing hull

100mm high on both sides above the waterline for a PWC

Cause they can I guess.....

Its just like Autobarn and Supercheap, just cause they sell it does not mean you can screw it on to your car.

If I had a $1 for every time I have said that (and earned Anna another $100)

You can legally put 150mm high ones on your jetski ......they only have to be a minimum of 100

If manufacturers can sell boats with lights that aren't legal, no surprise that chain stores sell numbers that are legal for some craft but not others.
