First fish for friends

Hey all.

I have some friends who have asked my help to show them the ropes of fishing, We have set a trip for early wednesday morning, with a low tide about 7am.

I was thinking shorncliffe or redcliffe jetty for some little bream or the like, anything that bites will be exciting for them, and I can chase some bigger stuff

Can any1 suggest some spots i can guarantee they will feel the tug of a fish on the end of their lines?

Aquirium passage boat ramp always get some bream there on bait

Yeah or just the Brissy river in general. You can almost gauruntee Cat fish. I know these are not amazing. But they are fun on lite gear for newbies.

Well if your gonna be there for when the tide starts to run in, I would go bongaree jetty. Almost garanteed small bream there and you could throw some metal for mackeral if they're around.

I am yet to fish the river myself so maybe i shouldn't take rookies there when i am new to the place myself. I caught one of my first fish at bongaree, so i think bribie may be the go. plenty of different spots to try

Anybody going to be there tomorrow morning?

But as Tim said, even if its only undersize bream they should catch something. And who knows it is the bribie passage, you could get a good surprise.
