Fishing Spot around Forest Lake

Does anyone know where I can kids fishing somewhere near to Forest Lake?

I will have up to 25 kids, so there needs to be reasonable access to the water. I can't have the kids spread out a mile. It is for the Brisbane council so I will need toilets nearby.

If it is for the council can you get permission to use the lake? That is about the only option you have around here.

I am in the process of trying to get permission, but it looks like its going to take a while. Something to do with their by-laws.

I have to tell them a venue by Tuesday

Somewhere within about a 15min radius of forest lake would be ok

im pretty sure forest lake has algee problems atm and isnt too safe to do any water sport in or on it.

Yes it does. The council book the dates at least 6mths in advance. I'm hoping that it will be clean by then.

Mt Ommaney Park looks ok from google, I will have to try to get up there to have a proper look.

I will also give the sea scouts a call.
