Good Day Gents!

The troops were restless, castin' arms were twitchin' and idiots agreed to wake up at 3am....

So we after a quick fuel up of Macca's (gross stuff, but nothing else is open) we launched at about 4.30am. We stowed the rods, cranked up the engine and downed a few red bulls for a trek alll the way down.... about 500m.

With the electric STILL on the work bench, drifting was our preferred method. Chicks dig drifting!

So I started off with a BassDay Sugar Pen, and the other two with Chubby's, Atomic, I believe.

Within 3 casts Chris hooked a nice little flathead, and BAM! next cast Steve onto a bream.

Steve then upgraded.

I only got a few half hearted hits on the surface, so I also tied on a chubby.

At the next spot Steve managed a nice 53.5cm flathead, which was delicious on the bbq.

Through out the day many more bream, some freakishly small to be hitting a lure were landed, I dropped a few good bream, caught a few flathead. Every one else added a few small flathead and a couple of bream to there list, albeit rather small ones...

Then I caught a very small whiting, just before we left... Lip hooked too!

Well done. I spent the arvo there for a rare (for me anyway) doughnut - would have loved to put some trebles through the jet skiers though - they were in plague....
