I don't know anything about it and have never seen an ad on tv or press about it. Why aren't they promoting them more?

The reason the amarok hasn't been mentioned is because the thread poster was after a ute under $30k.

Have test driven an amarok and it was fantastic. Very quite and refined and certainly lot lacking for power, response and acceleration.

Way too pricey for the options they come with and any options are a complete rip off.

Thanks for all the advise and input everyone. Its all going to be taken into consideration when I do get around to buying one.

I have actually seen a couple of amarocks in that price range, but they would have no options when compared to the other makes and models around for the same price.

I'll let you all know my decision when the time comes.

the offer of the bt50 for around $25000 sounds like the way to go, plenty of room with an 1800mm tray and ladder racks on a dual cab
