Sweetlip, Brisbane River Sunday July 30

Hey guys..

just thought id let you know about or sunday trip... was there since around 10am til 3 or 4pm... got quite a few catfish on herring and prawns... then got a very diferent fish... a sweetlip... ive added a pic... here it is...

Thats awesome guys.

Truly impressive.

I would love to know if thats a fluke or if there is a consistant popualtion?

I mean we thought Salmon were flukey, but at least they are meant to move into rivers and estuaries. I have never heard of that specie of Sweetlip or Red Throat Emperor as i know them up at the swaines being caught in any rivers let alone the Brisbane.

either someone caught out deep and chucked him in here... or its just one very very lost fish! but looking at other pictures this one is a lot darker then the usual red throat... maybe its been in there for some time?? :S
