camping spots?

hey guys thinking about going camping next weekend. not sure where but somewhere near the water fresh or salt. Is there any spots i can go where i can escape the easter crowds? my mate and i have a canoe so an option was just to canoe up a river until we found a good spot just not sure where abouts.

hey troy/boys this sugestion may be a little further than first thought but to escape easter crowds i ussually head for the towns of goondiwindi and texas there are quite a few reserves along (kildonan rd) the rivers there and only ever see a few people good fishing for cod, yellas and yabbies no cost but you have to bring every thing however the townships have all you could need and only half hour away at most and great scenery you can also paddle till your hearts content just watchout for submerged logs ect let us know how you go all the best ezy i hope this has been a help

were headin to yaraman we booked yesterday and got an on suit camp we can then hit a few lakes /rivers

everywere else we tryed was booked or very close too and would be busy i think its about 180ks from brissy

if you can get a hold of a book called "camping in queensland by boiling billy productions will give directions and amenities ect should be avalible at bcf or good fisho all the best ezy
