Left over Braid

After rerigging my reels i have awhole heap of Braid left over - 20 to 50lb ratings - probably 4 rolls each with 50 to 70m on them.

I have an idea to spool another reel with the leftovers starting with the lightest closer to the spool out to the heaviest - waste not want not!!

Anyone done anything like this before?

Recommended join knots? (I am thinking double uni)

I usualy use amounts like this in places where I short cast ie creeks or casting from the boat to the bank etc

Hold onto em man and top up your current spools with them as they get lower...

You'll inevitably lose lengths of line to snags and fish etc, just join em up via a double uni knot and top the spool up.

me personally, i throw them out. the way i look at it is its another knot that might fail and when or if it did, it could be that once of a lifetime fish. if i get a little low, i just go out and buy another spool of braid.

i topped up a reel a few weeks back using the knot that eug and plastic fantastic reccomended which was a bimini twist-cats paw bimini twist. this knot was pretty easy to get the hang of just buy googling it and watching a few of those motion cartoon displays. i found that it breazed through the guides was nice and slim if done right and i had it under plenty of load when i caught a tuna and it faired just fine. i think its also rated stronger than a double uni.
