Surf combo

Hey guys,

I am looking at a sort of entry level- mid range surf combo. The fish i will be targeting will be dart, whiting, bream and probably some taylor and hopefully a jew or two. Im not too keen on an alvey reel, and will be predominately using bait rather than lures. also probably need at least a two piece. I am prepared to spend at most $150.

I went down to Charlton's at Redbank, he pulled out a daiwa crossfire surf rod, i think he said it was around $80 bucks. i was pretty happy with it but i had just started looking and wanted to know if anyone would recommend anything else. So if anyone has any advise on a rod or a reel that would suit me i would really appreciate it.
