Hi guys well after spending hours as hours installing this new redarc 3 phase charger in my car to run my dual battery the thin caught fire on my way home

If any auto sparks on the site would care to give me a hand to fix it in return for some Christmas beverages please reply here.

Why did you go with a DC to DC charger instead of a VSR

VSR's are cheap as as well. Do you mean three stage. Cant find a three phase one yet. IPhone attacks again.

Without looking at it I am guessing power has been wired to earth somewhere or polarity issue

The red arcs have a solar regulator built in. If you want to upgrade to solar charging later in future proofs you

I " had " a redarc 1225 there supposed to be u beaut

Callum the unit will probably have an internal fuse which may be blown.

If there is any kind of sticker over a screw you will void the warranty if you break the sticker.

It should have reverse polarity protection anyway so possibly the wiring damage is causing the unit to not work.

Have a look at the schematics and see if there is a fuse.
