With a warm day forecast yesterday thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to see if the guys in red were keen for a feed, so I packed the yak and the car and hit my favourite stretch of the Coomera for the arvo. Had a run out tide which is ideal and it was pretty quiet at first with a few Bream here and there an undersized Flattie and a small Gt to round things out. Had no luck deliberately trying to catch a Jack so went about with the light gear targeting general areas and came up trumps on a small Jack. He was taken on one of the new Squidgie Wild Prawns which I cut off the end tail and rig them backwards, works a treat as all fish for the arvo were caught using this method. So the Jack account is open for the year and it's only going to get better.

I recently got a promotion/slash took over the centre I work at. The upside of no having a lot more to do and working more hours is having an RDO every second Friday. This has been allocated as my official fishing day Bring on September!

Its all good Shane only had two donuts in a row, How many Gts you landed off straddie oh thats right zip, zero, nil. :whistle: NSW will win an origin series before you get one in the boat.

It will start to heat up soon out there, Tom landed two today. September to November best time of the year.
