went for a trip out wide on sunday only to run into a very slow day time bite, downsizing to 6lb and doing some light tackle jigging with TT Lures Assassins up to 30g and soft plastics

in 50m of water saved the day with a few trevally and the odd spaniard bite off, was a ton of fun and saved us driving out all that fuel for nothing.

Well done on changing tactics to get into a few! Where did you head out from? Also where the spaniards smashing them near the surface? I am keen to get into a few off goldcoast when they show up!!

Hi Pete, i'm based in townsville, we fish about 30-50 m water and i find the spanish normally mid range to surface. they are insane in hitting slices and plastics getting burned to the surface, deffo heart stopping stuff!!
