queensland A couple of Jacks for the weekend

Headed to a new river on Saturday with fellow afo member Chris to try for a Jack or two unfortunately for Chris it was to be a donut but I was able to come up trumps on a small Jack at the last minute falling to a Zerek Cherabbin. He was only a pup but had some nice colour to him. Went back again this arvo to try the creek again up head the opposite direction for no luck so headed back to where I was successful yesterday and was rewarded with a nice healthy mid 40s Jack falling for a Megabass Spindrive which on he eight pound gave me the run around for a bit but was eventually successful in netting him plus half the tree that he was attached to. At this rate it looks like this Jack seasons going to be a pretty good as long as it doesn't flood.

Deadstick seems to be the go they just nail it as it sinks in front of them, they look awesome in the water so would be hard to resist.
