Fish Prints

We got a nice Thready (82cm)the other day in the Brissy River and kept him for two reasons. Firstly to eat and also to try my hand at making a fish print using ink and rice paper. I had some practice on a flathead awhile ago but this came out reasonably well.

My wife thought it was nice but straight to the shed :-)

Hey mate, did you apply the the ink on the fish and then rolled it onto the paper? Looks cool, you may have a sideline business idea here.

Simply clean and dry the fish, apply ink with sponge and blot most of the ink off and then lay the rice paper over the fish. Softly pressing down until you think all of the fish has been covered, remove paper and success. I actually touched it up and outlined with an acrylic paint "Instant Expert" (ha ha) Afterwards fillet and skin the fish and nice white fillets for the table. This method was basically what I learnt from previous posts and searching on the internet.
