Land Based Whiting in the Broadwater

Hi all,

I got out and about again at short notice with Max. Max accepted the responsibility to catch whiting for the family for Christmas lunch, and he succeeded. The early part of the ebb tide produced a steady stream of fish with the best at 39 cm and half a dozen over 36 cm. Towards the bottom of the tide, a plague of small tarwhine, squire and diver whiting ensured that there were plenty of bites but it was bait wasted. Alas no dart for Max this time and he had to settle for just whiting.

Such an amazing place the Broadwater where you can fish in the middle of the day, without a boat, and produce a good number of quality fish at various locations.
