I went to the hinze eastern arm this morning to check if our pots were still there after the recent inflow and hopefully to bring home some live shrimp to use at the tagging weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

We were able to locate most of our pots with some of the ropes 2 feet under water. (Gee i love the tracking history on my humminbird we could see the top of a tree that had a lot of track marks around it and it was just a matter of probing around it with the gaff and hooking the rope.)

It was still glassed out at 8am so we thought we would just have to have a little fish after traveling all that distance.;)

First couple of spots only produced one 32cm and one 25cm bass and by this time the wind had got up so we sought refuge in a protected bay and found a school of nice bass.

At 10am we said that is enough or we will have no shrimp left to take home.We caught 41 bass in just under one hour.

Cheers

Ray
