Diamond Trevally Madness

Lots of Nordic Stage owners have been sending us in pictures of the crazy number of Diamond Trevally being caught on the sunshine coast lately and we thought we would share.

Diamonds can be quite fussy eaters taking finnese presentations. Like a golden trev (as opposed to a big eye or gt etc) they have a big sucking mouth and often pick little plastics etc off the bottom. Despite this feeding characteristic, once hooked they do the trevally family proud fighting with long runs often turning on their side making for a tough battle.

The coolest thing from our point of view is that despite being hard fighting, the need to finesse them oftenmeans they are caught on ultra light gear (pictured are Nordic Stage Areal Pro and Areal caught fish) making for an ever better challenge.

The Noosa lads are definetly spoiled!
