queensland Back fishing the Logan

Haven't been fishing for some time but left Sunday free, got the cobwebs of the boat and headed out to the logan.

Cast netted in the usual locations for nothing, not a prawn or bait fish. Looks like it will be a lure fishing session.

Went to another spot and got the occasional small prawn every 10 casts or so. Then one cast no prawns but a 60-70cm salmon. Fantastic. Can go home now!!

Yes would have loved to get it on the rod...but need to cast net for bait first...

I have fished this river many times and still haven't got one of them.:blush:

Anyway at least I know they are still there. If the charter is canned this weekend guess what I'll be doing?

You lucky bugger very jealous. My cast netted salmon was about 8 inches long:laugh:
