I'd say it's because of all the rain. Fish are getting flushed out of the rivers and the sharks are cruising the beaches looking for them. The Brunswick River was barren and brown only a few weeks ago when it is usually crystal clear.

Just my guess. I'm sure if the sharks intended on eating someone they would have done it by now. But I supposed that lady did get knocked off her kayak a few weeks back. Then again if it was going to eat her it could have easily.
