queensland First bass trip

Plan was to go to Monduran :cheer: (just the boys):woohoo: to reek revenge on the dam for the fishless trip prior. Much planing to do, get leave from the minster for war and finance x4 , throw rods in to boat ,get BEER, swags, snags & junk food and wait for the day to arrive.ETD 4pm friday

First problem arises Gregs boss books him in for a meeting at 4pm friday 6pm now ETD next problem cold rainy spell moves in and hangs around and shuts down fishing:( ( although someone that sells tackel close to the dam insists it still going off ):dry:

Last second change of plan go to Borumba nah comp on there ,check BOM weather all clear at Boondooma :cheer: thats us pull 50lb gear out of boat in gos 12lb gear.

Arrive at camp ground 11.30 pm into bed about 12.30 out of bed 5am find boat ramp and we are away. nope boats got a flat battery(some dope left isolator on after working on boat) get patrol start boat.

Start by casting some lures at the rock wall towards dam wall 10mins fish on!!:woohoo: nice bass about 38cm all thinking this is going to be hot fishing:woohoo: have to go and do some work will finish soon

Anyways after the first fish it went real quite so we went for a look up the dam not much to it as its only 12% had a cast at every rock wall, dead tree ,point& drop off we could find ,not a touch.

Time for a(beer) change of plan try trolling ,all pretty quite covered about 1/2 the dam then at the last point befor the ramp bang :woohoo: fish on a nice yella boated picked up a few more small bass in the same area befor the ski boats got active .Pulled the boat out of the water and back to camp for lunch and a nanna nap in the shade. Back on the water about 3pm boated another 1/2 dozen good fish and about 1/2 doz small ones, lost a thumper right at the back of the boat:( pulled the boat out at dark .Back in the water at dawn Sunday started off slow then it hotted right up for about 20 odd fish .Best one by me 49cm So first bass fishing trip a success :cheer: now to do the same at Monduran [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/100_0262_AFO.jpg
