I had a feel of the rod today and it was very nice. Kevin nearly had kittens over it but then he saw a megabass baitcaster rod and lets just say I had to take him out of the store.

the rod i was looking at was a megabass orichi DTI 10-20lb baitcaster 1/4-3/4OZ, the same weight class as my loomis but obviously better in terms of sensiivity and balance...well, and style.

tacklewarehouse seems to have to fancy stuff like limited daiwas and JP domestic reels and rods.

The rod doesn't feel all that great to be honest. We got one it at BCF and I was pretty disappointed. The $200 1-3kg T-Curve is almost the same and the EVA grip feels a lot cheaper then normal EVA.

The reels are based on the old Shimano technology but are still up there as if all the new stuff was put into them. They are basically a nicer looking Aspire.

What market are they aimed at, as I havn't seen any mention of there use in comps yet.

they r priced higher than stellas but i don't think shimano would let stellas come second.
