Fishing Cairns Suburban Creeks (saltwater)

Hey was just wondering If there's some good suburban saltwater creeks in Cairns where I can flick my lure

Yeah, any little creeks and drains on the rising tide.

BEWARE of the crocs, they are in all local creeks there,

even the ones running thru town.

I used to flick around the marina (marlin jetty). Dunno if you're still allowed in there though. 

 

Barron River at Stratford up through freshwater. 

Even out at halloways Beach.

Back in the day Erskins tackle had a brand called "barra bait". 

They are very similar to slim twitchers. 

Bombers, and the sandvipers. 

 

I'd also be throwing soft vibes at them. 

But those I have mentioned above will definitely work.

Slim twitchers are in all the NQ fishing vids. They are the new gold bomber. 

 

Also PM @tiotony for some tips. 

The dude is a freak up there.

He pulls big barra off the beach, but he's using livies. Dare say he'd have a lure or 2 in mind though
