queensland Burrum Heads - River and tributaries

A coupl of friends and my wife.....oh, and myself are heading up to a spot on the Sherwell River not far from where it joins the Burrum River. We're going for three days at the end of September. Taking the kayaks of course, and plan on doing a fishing drift with the rising tide from Burrum heads up to our stay. Maybe try the other way as well...on the run out.

I was wondering if anyone has experience fishing up there and what we should target. We'll be luring mostly. I'm sort of thinking maybe trevally / tailor near Burrum Heads, and bream, flatties, and maybe jacks futher upstream. I hear they get quite a few estuary cod up there too.

So, any tips would be muchly appreciated. I promise to post a report...with photos when we get back.
