queensland Rain missed dam NPD

Drove out to NPD yesterday and forgot my raincoat so went back home and got it. It rained all the way out,back and out again,and when I reached the water it stopped.

In 3hrs while at the dam I put my raincoat on for about 10 mins. So if you wish to avoid the rain head out to NPD. Its hardly seen any rain for years.

On the fish front I had a different sort of day to usual, I caught first 4 fish fairly quickly then got wraped around a snag by an unstopable beast. Then all the fish vanished, I must of put in a hundred casts trying to find them. I dont know if it was the fish I lost or a couple of lungies I noticed that scared them off.

So anyway I moved to greener pastures[of which there is plenty at the moment] and managed to track down a few more. Finished with 16 bass all sizes up to 40cm no whoppers for the session. Most taken on black/red/purple s/bait [i find best colour for early morn or overcast day] and a couple on green g/vibe.

Oh Dino, 16 fish, at least you had to work for then this trip.

You know that bit about never raing at NP, that might be true unless Brian D & Aaron are with you. We got absolutely flogged last time we were there but we get wet every we fish.

Thanks Kevin and dont worry brian I;ve had a few wet ass's out there to. I am looking for a good rain hat at the moment as I can't stand the hoods on raincoats over my head I start hearing the surf rolling in.[prob because nill between ears]
