would it be worth trying the canals down the coast? with all the rain and wind that has been round. would there much action in the rivers and canals that would be sheltered from the wind and stuff?

had cabin fever with all the bad weather so I went out yesterday morning, stayed on the boat all day and last night. Canals way to muddy to fish - just totally full of rubbish and a horrible brown colour - also a strong mud smell, so concentrated around the seaway. Picked up 6 good sized bream, and a couple of flathead, but only on the incoming tide when the water was little cleaner.

However, if your into mud crabs - i left 4 pots in overnight - 2 up the coomera river, and 2 in the canals in surfers - just near the casino. Got a really good feed of keepers - dont think they care about the muddy water :P
