Whilst at Wellington point marine picking up runners etc for my loomis balnks saw an outfit that i think will help me win the shark fishing comp in december ( HA _ HA be lucky if i even catch a catfish( Might even go to wivenhoe the week before and bring back a few livey forkeys))

Ended up forking out $ 60 bucks ( I think cant rember with the shock of the price of fuji titanium runners may have been 69) for a surecatch blue water combo outfit. The rod is a 1.6 m 9- 18kg and the reel is a surecatch bw 315 overhead with 2 stainless ball bearings with a 4.2 - 1 gear rachio.It is spooled with line that i will be removing and replacing with braid for the comp. Graham said that the rig should stand up to the rigors of the comp providing the sharks are less than 11 feet. He has sold lots of this combo and has never had a warranty return so i will have to wait and see. I might even take it to Awoonga for a trial run.
