queensland Spots around Toowong?

Would anyone know of a fishing spot near Toowong? It doesnt' matter if it's fresh or saltwater.

Kev fishes down around the Regatta occasionally. He caught a Meter + bullie there and I know of someone who got a salmon there

theres a golf course on myers rd, there is a big posh one and a public one closer to town, drive the road between the public one and town by the river, you will find a few little spots going down towards st lucia,

I caught a 30cm bream there last night , got snapped off by somthing about twice and hooked some bloody huge catties ,

on the incoming tide using prawns caught in the cast net.

There was also large fish breaking the water for a while too and i wondered at using lures but didn't have any.

you might have to go else where to get you bait though as there might be a lot of snaggs in those particular areas.

I have also done ok near the big posh golf course right up the end but havn't done any good since, only catties.

By the looks of last night I would say now is the time to go as there was a fair bit of activity last night around and after dusk and early nightfall, however once the river fills with phosphorus they go off the bite pretty quick, so if you see a heap of glowing phosphorus your wasting yr time.
