Hi Guys fished Huchies on Labour day got a mixed bag, plate size snapper, sweep, small kings ,under sized spangled emperor ,leather jacket and these quite tasty looking fish ,first thoughts was a type of trout, but they were slimey like a parrot. So we put them back in the drink . Does anybody know what they are and size and bag limits [img size=500]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/100_0506_AFO.jpg

While on the subject we caught a few black tipped rock cod(looks like a bright pink coral trout) a good red throat emperor and a few decent goat fish yesterday while off the tweed and we were wondering on the size limits remembering that it is in NSW. None of the DPI sites have any limits so are we right in asuming that if not mentioned on their sites there would be no limits??

Thanks

Jack

I know some species have things like, "Cod (all species)" I'll take a quick look now

Edit: Yep

You'll see that there's an "All Cod" size limit, with exceptions to that. So if its not in the exceptions list, which has different size/bag limits, then it would be under that "All Cod" size + bag limit.

gold spot wrasse (also called pigfish) are beautiful eating. the flesh does go a bit mushy if not cooked right, i found dusting with flour and frying in hot hot peanut oil worked a treat and the taste is absolutely suberb. size limit is 25cm, bag limit of 5 (see dpi website under all wrasse species, i can't remember the bag limmit exactly). bigger ones tend to be less mushy, they grow to about 50cm.
