Went down to oxley creek chasing some sharks but unfortunatley couldnt get a thing...had a few hits but nothing happened...not even with a live 22cm mullet...all we could get was 2 catties and a toadfish...but whilst catching bait our dissapointment was turnd around when my mate cast the net and pulled up a 25cm flattie from the shallow bank of the creek! we released it and hoping theres other flatties around there to catch in future [img size=176]http://www.australianfishing.com.au/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/images/P10_22_06_12.jpg

more productive then our day at manly... but a bad day out fishing is better then none at all

Thast the third Flathead report i have heard from Oxley.

There must be far more in the river than we realise i reckon.

ye ive also heard of three and 2 of those have been caught in a castnet

Yeah I dunno whether your talking about ours, but we caught a 64cm flattie in a cast net, on the right hand side of the pontoon. sorry i said left before.

And Angus, near the Pinkinba wall, we've caught 5-6 big flatties.

Well, seeing as I can't mange to get a picture of Google maps, I'll just have to explain. You need a boat to get to this place though. Pinkinba wall is a large man nade rock-wall. It is pretty near the mouth of the brisbane rive and is right next to the Bp-Refinary. If you do geo you would know where i'm talking about cause of the excursion. It is summerged almost completly at high tide.
