Hey boys and girls. I've been a lurker here for a while, and enjoy hearing what the rest of you guys have been catching, so I thought I'd better make a contribution myself.

I've always enjoyed fishing, but rarely got out to throw a line, so this year I decided to get back into it. I've been out on the Maroochy River a few times with some success. Friday night I got an invite to head down to the northern end of the pin to wet a line, and I must say I'm glad I did.

Tried for a tailor just on dusk on Friday arvo with no success, so it was time to attack the bream. Between two of us, we managed to land around the 50 mark. 31 keepers up to about 39cm, about 10 undersize, and about that many legals (23-24cm) were also thrown back.

Got a couple of hours shut eye, then went looking for the tailor again at first light. Managed to pick up 7, all legal size.

Finished off the trip by catching a 42cm lizard on SP's.
