Mate at a guess I would think it would be fuel problems.

First check the breather on the tank?

Maybe a squashed or restricted fuel line?

Partly worn or pin hole leak in fuel pump diaphragm?

Blocked carby jet?

or poor timing?

just guesses.....

its an inboard tank dazz i replace the fuel line and diaphram i agree its fuel problem, its really pissing me off cos i wanna go out in to the bay and i need to get this problem sorted first...

I'm not a gambling man but I would say its a partially blocked jet by the sounds of it if u have replaced the line and diaphragm.

DO remember to check all the clamp fittings for any air leaks!

Have u unscrewed the drain plug on the carby bowl? may it has water or dirty fuel in it?

Failing all of the above try starting it up and increase revs to a high rev while in neutral and fully block off the carby with a large rag until the engine stalls as sometime this can help to pull through any grime that maybe blocking the jets..... if this doesnt help a carby clean/rebuild maybe needed!

when going at more than half revs to top revs it would go for a while then just stop but if i would pull the choke fully on it would go again for a while then same would happen:ohmy: so we had to come from green island to manly pull the choke on then off then on to keep the motor going to get back:ohmy: it had s--t in carbies we cleaned them out and the main jets problem fixed:cheer: al

at w.o.t. do you know how much fuel is being used by the motor, did you replace the fuel filter. some filters will not flow as much as the motor needs at w.o.t. do your alarms work, as i will get a warning if there is a fuel restriction, will the motor shut down completely or go into limp mode, fuel pump?? might be worth checking, i can give you the # of an outboard guru if you get stuck, and won't charge the earth, best of luck with it
