Help with transducer

Hi guys help with two things one transducer position and the other i get water shoot up out of the transducer so in have put a piece off angle in there

Note this is the only one fitted this way that i have seen cheers

any chance you can put it inside the boat towards the back, it should work there, might have to turn the gain up a little, it looks to high to me, i have mine 1 inch below the hull and it works beautifully, even at speeds around 80 ks,in 60 mtrs of water, that was to test it years ago, i don't drive like that everywhere

not only is it to high it may be on the wrong side of the boat, they should be on the opposite side to the direction of rotation of the prop

No expert in this regard but here's a clipping from Lowrance that may assist, it's supposed to be the ideal location for accurate sounding up to 70kph

Looks to be kicked up a bit, try and angle it down a bit so the beam is bounceing of bottom just forward from the transducer.
