queensland Golf Course Surface Breaming

Got a call last night to head up the coast to fish a golf course where a mate is the green keeper. It was well worth the drive and didn't think we would get much with so much wind but with two fish over 40fl landed it was a pretty good stealth landbased mission. All fish were taken on gold sammys. I don't target bream too much but when they get this big they are pretty bloody fun to catch and pulled out drag on 8lb with ease.

Very true mate.

These are actually the biggest out of there yet. He said they average at about 35cm :ohmy:

wow 50cm,

that would be a bloody awesome catch. i reckon they'd either get eaten or die before they reach taht size.

bream are already 15 or so years old before they are legal size.

Surprisingly it was gently pulled under with no splash and I lost sight of the sammy so I struck and fish on :laugh: :laugh:

Nice breambo bretto reminds me of a few other golf courses i fish the last couple of christmas mornings when no one is there they hold some stonkers:)

Cheers nabs and STU, my aim is to crack the 50cm mark before the summer ends but that might prove to be a challenge.

i love fishing the sammy they're excellent, wish they could make a sammy 45 that would be perfect for general canals and stuff, once again great catch there mate

Finally got my first surface fish (on a dog-x jr, similar to the sammy) so I'm gonna be using it everywhere now. Thos lures work so well

I have been using larger than usual lures lately in hope of snagging some better fish and it is certainly working out for me at the moment. My luck will come to an end one day......Maybe :laugh: :laugh:

Not quite sure mate but I would suspect there was a few species in there such as tarpon and trevs at times when water flows in and out.

This one was closer to you guys in brissy and the sunny coast mate. I do have a few spots near home though
