queensland Where to go?

Hey guys

My mate and i have from tuesday to friday off work and we're planning to do a small trip. We've been doing heaps of estuary and boat fishing this summer already and we both think its time to hit the beaches.

So what beaches within 5 or so hours drive can people recommend? Whats going off at the moment. Definitely one with camping facilities close by. We were maybe thinking of 1770.

I want to desperately go to double island or rainbow, would we need a 4wd to get the most out of those beaches?

Any help would be appreciated

inskip point at rainbow has your name written all over it perfect for 2wd beach camping

From Inskip you can also do a walk-on to the barge and fish the bottom end of Fraser. There are a few beach access points on the road from Rainbow to Inskip where you can park the 2wd and walk the beach looking for gutters.
