Rod to suit sustain 4000

After losing a $1200 loomis/sustain combo over new year i'm trying to rebuild my collection and currently have the reel but don't really know what rod to match it with. Set-up will be used mostly for sp snappering and the odd mackerel or bonito/tuna. Looking at around $200. cheers

i don't understand? surely when you bought the loomis/sustain combo, you sussed out other rods. reguardless of what other people say on here your going to buy what you want. myself, i would look at a live fibre.

I personally would stick to an all graphite rod for SP's or casting any kind of lure.

Check out a innovator nitro viper 6-8kg. They are around $300 and have a loomis style no questions asked breakage replacement policy for $60.

I have stopped some pretty good fish offshore with mine including a 1.5m bronze whaler that ate nuclear chicken for dinner and a 1m diammeter sea turtle.
