Help.... What wire to use

Hey guys i am just about to wire up Nav lights, bilge,& sounder do i really need to use tin wire or can i just use normal twin core?????

normal stuff will corrode quickly and eventually fail.

tinned wire will last a hell of alot longer and is easier to solder.

make shure you solder your joints and terminals,then use a sealant on them and heat shrink over everything.

dont crimp them! wire in crimps corrodes and gets realy soft so it slips out if there is any pressure on them.

i learnt the hard way over the years no such thing as tinned wire or heat shrink 30 years ago just elictrical tape and vasoline

we used to have to re-wire our boats every few years
