Headed out with smithy again today in terrible conditions targetting Marlin :silly: ... Mission accomplished!! Another thumbs up to Smithy for putting us onto the fish again today

We played tag team with the Marlin

Had it boatside pretty quick, but that was short lived

Good to hear. Marlin are such a great fish to catch, Did you get some good jumps? What area? What bait/lure?

Great fish doesnt do it any justice!! They definatly for speed and stamina.. This one was approx 40-50kg and put up a good fight for bit over an hour on 15kg gear.. Got video of the jumps but missed on camera

Out off Sunny Coast, we spotted him free swimming on the surface amongst the bait balls on the surface, put the spread in his face and got a surface strike about 20min later on a skirt skipped across the surface directly behind the boat amongst the teasers.. Amazing strike it was, smacked it on the up and peeled off at least 200m by the time we got the rest of lures in :ohmy:

Few boats managed a few juveniles today on the grounds we were at, hard work though! We had a few bites early up, then hooked up around 130pm

Yeah conditions looked crap all day according to the readings displayed on seabreeze.

Hope they are as crap tomorrow for me. Hopefully have something to report tomorrow.
