Hungarian Catfish

This is a pic of a Catty my Hungarian mate caught, apparently took 3 BBQ's to get through it all, they're not big fans of catch and release over there.

He told me it was caught on a type of leech they have there that is apparently quite large.

My mates the one in the middle.

Hungarian tip of the month is catfish slime is easilly removed with dry salt, I'm assuming this would clean the slime of any fish that has a slime layer.

That thing is massive! Who said catfish can't be fun? I hope they fight a little bit harder than our version, otherwise it would be like reeling in a tree trunk!
