they're really known for grabbing the lure or bait and punding off into structure, need strong gear and thick line to tackle them

can pretty much disregard flathead from the list. Per kilo, it would have to be jacks, but species of cod grow to massive sizes, so a 150kg cod will fight way harder than a big jack

i hear that i caught A MONSTER jack u can see it in my profile pic and it almost snapped me off on 30 pound but i did get a 36 or 37 cm jack on 9 lb line so tht was a surprise but yea there my favourite fish to catch

a hefty cod will pull a Jack backwards

but a Jack has a better turn of speed

cod has more stamina

The poor old lizards aren't in the hunt. I would give it to the jack without having to think to hard pound for pound.
