Finally back

Hi all. I was a regular fisherman in my young days mainly around clontarf. New the place inside and out. After many frustrated years trying to find other places with the kids, I have finally bought a boat. I went to Pumistone today and found it a little hard going navigating around the different channels.

Does anyone know of a fishing club around the caboolture area. I live in Wamuran.

There are several. 2 of which I am a member of

The Caboolture River Boat club (its a fishing club despite the name)It has 12 acres near the Uhlman Road boat ramp at Burpengary, camping facilities, fishing comps, etc etc.

Kilcoy Amateur fishing club, which has access to somerset Dam at Vilenueve, monthly comps.

Both clubs have a great bunch of people, the Caboolture River club probably more opportunities for stuff with the kids, because of the camp grounds, small playground they have etc etc. If you want PM me your email address and I'll email you the last newsletters from each club which has contact details etc etc in them.

Tony, the Beechmere Fishing Club operates from the private boat ramp up there. I think it is in Whiting Street?? If you called the boat hire place there, they should be able to give you some contact details. Sorry I don't have a phone number, but should be in the book.
