Newb to the site

Hi all, newb to the site. Been lurking for a couple of days and thought I better make a start. Ive had quiet a few years off from the full on fishing that I used to do but I'm getting back into it now. Time to dust of the uglysticks and the near new unused boat. I crapped myself when I learnt there were threadies in the river, along with my wish fish, jacks. Ive been bricked a couple of times in bells creek, but have never got closer than that to landing one. Hopefully my first will be close to home in the river. While on the jack subject, whats the general rule regarding eating them ? I know they are bloody good chewin' but is it frowned upon to not release ? Anyone caught any up indro way ?

There have been plenty of posts recently dealing with Jacks, so it shouldn't be too hard to glean some locations if you read them. They are a fish on my wishlist too.

Cheers guys. Got a few locations in mind. I'll hit the river once I put a new waterpump in my 10 hour 5 year old 25 yammy. Man, I'm ashamed of that.

yup. it sits on the back of my 10 hour 5 year old 3.86 seajay, with full floor,casting platflorm, swivel seats etc.. Now I'm totally shamed out.
