What bait for Freshwater Shrimp?

I've got myself a live bait trap from BigW cos I want to catch live shrimp. Just wondering what people have found most successful as a bait in these sort of traps to catch freshwater shrimp?

If you have any fish or a small tin of cat food with just one small hole punched in it.

Please dont use soap it doesnt work very well and polutes the water.

If you are going to use it in an area where eels or redclaw are prevalent you may wish to modify the inlets with soft drink bottle necks.

Forgive my ignorance Ray, why do you go softdrink bottles? is it to keep redclaw out???

work great for shrimp

i use them all the time they dont pollute the water and theyre cheap

Get a piece of ox liver or lambs liver that has always worked great for me....cheers Beejay
