somerset licence

Just thought we might head up to Somerset or Wivenhoe - for some R&R this Sunday - Any good places to go land based fishing that also includes some thing for a 5 year old when she gets bored with the fishing.

Also - where can I get a licence (family) and any idea how much it costs.

What lures would you use - I don't have many - but I do have some 'plastics'??

Hey nannah a licence you can get for a day,week or a year from memory I think a week is about $15.00 but not 100% sure.You can get the misses out on the same one for no extra cost.There is shop up at somerset the you can get a licence there.You can get them at most tackle shops around the place before you get up there.

Fishing of the bank up there you might try a little closer to kilcoy with worms and give spinner baits a try they can be ued throught the weed.If your using SP'S you might want to try some weedless hooks

If your looking for some where a bit quiter I would try wivenhoe no outboard motors or ski lice.good luck and have a good weekend.

Best to give Somerset a miss this weekend, the ABT Bass Pro Qualifier is on up there, which means there will be 50-60 boats running around as well as the ski boats.
