** This thread discusses the content article: Moreton Bay Classic 2010 Gets Off To A Good Start **

The 2010 Moreton Bay Classic fishing competition kicked off well this morning with a good turn out for the 4am briefing and sign-in. Over 20 competitors braced the cold weather and early morning to arrive at 4am to complete their registration and get on the water.

The day went well with over 40 competitors so far that have signed in to compete in the Moreton Bay Classic 2010. The event so far has 50 competitors in total who have registered to compete and so looks like it is shaping up to be a great event with good competition.

The weather was perfect with glassed out conditions for most of the day. Hopefully we will see some good entries come in tomorrow!!

Reminder that the prize presentation is at 12 midday, so please come in before that so we can get your photos off your memory cards. There generally is quite a queue so the earlier to arrive the better. We will be drawing the lucky door prizes of the fantastic fishing charters from Buckat List Fishing Charters and Brisbane Bay Tours at 12pm sharp and then we will move into the prize presentation for the five prize categories.

Also we have now in stock the new AFO tshirts for sale. These are great looking tshirts and so please bring along some cash if you would like to purchase one of these tshirts and show your support for the community. We only have a limited number in each size so get in quick to get yours before we run out. We will also have  AFO shirt patches, winter fleeces perfect for the early morning start tomorrow as well as AFO beanies. We will be there again from 4am - 12 midday so just come and see us between these times to buy any of these items.

The tshirts are $30 normally, but for the Moreton Bay Classic 2010 they will be on sale for the introductory price of $25. This sale ends after the prize presentation tomorrow. Sorry we do not have eftpos so please along cash.

Great first day!

Did not see many faces after everyone headed off but photo texts included bream and kingfish!

New T shirts are great and wore mine proudly all day.

I will post some pictures of the T's when they come through.

Cheers!

Good luck to everyone out there!

Angus
