any ideas / advice please

i have a 12.5' tinny with a 15hp on the back & it always towed like a dream, but now i got rid of my land rover discovery wich was almost 3 tone & got a daul cab hilux tray back, as soon as i get up to about 40 - 50kph the boat sways so bad that i had to abanden my fishing trip & return home. i measuered up the axle & it seems to be running true (straight). i moved my fuel tank & batt to the front of the boat. (to get some wight from the back to the front) & still doing the same thing. any ideas, every one is telling me it the trailer not the car???

I had the same problem many years ago with my Hilux's.

Changing the goose neck to a drop goose neck fixed the problem.

The tow balls on the Hilux were a lot higher than standard vehicles and caused the trailers to sway.

hmm thanks aussie might be some thing to look at, it has been lifted to.

Yep, I reckon drop the tow ball down lower. When I fitted the hayman-reece to my falcon the same thing happened. Turned the towbar over and put the ball on the lower side and straightened out the sway
